Aaron,  I'm so glad that you do a show that doesn't hide the challenges that stroke survivors deal with on a daily basis. That your show isn't about how you can't do things but that you show the reality of overcoming your challenges and that it is ok to be the person you are now. You guys give me hope for Gene, show me that it is ok if he gets brain fog and that it doesn't last.  Thank you for being you and caring as much as you do.

Hi! It's Aaron Avila from Stroke TV Foundation. This Blog was inspired by the Steve Harvey video above. I'm writing down my dreams I've held in my heart for years. I dream of building a place called The Stroke Survivor Miracle Ranch.  I can see it clearly in my minds eye.  I see myself walking down a center pathway, with various buildings to my right and to my left. Each with various stroke rehabilitation services in them. One building  with indoor aquatic therapy. One building  with a room full of Quadricisers. One building with weight training. One building that teaches skills for stroke survivors to learn to live an independent life after stroke. The facility will be staffed with highly trained stroke personnel. I can see the facility clearly in my minds eye.  The pathway leads to a small indoor stadium.  (a smaller version of T.D. Jakes and Joel Osteen's church) The stadium will be open to the community and...

Over the last decade of being a stroke survivor, I have learned the real war or battle I fight on a daily bases is in my own mind. How "I" think of myself determines my attitude not what others think of me. Stroke doesn't define me as a person but how I respond does! Hi Community!  It's Aaron Avila From Stroke TV Foundation. I have watched our community and our movement grow over the last five years.  From our first member until now near three thousand members from around the world. I personally vet all member requests for our Stroke TV Foundation dba Stroke Support Community  Second Chance Stroke Survivors  on Facebook.  I feel God has given me the responsibility of Gatekeeper and take this responsibility very serious. (My learning process) One time when I was starting to build our movement, I accidentally let in a cyber terrorist using a phony name. He made his way into my community and told one of my precious stroke sisters to sit on the floor, take a sharp knife and cut her wrists!  THIS TOTALLY CRUSHED ME! I CRIED FOR WEEKS! I love each one of my stroke survivors to the core of who I am as a man. So I vowed that would never happen again!  I will thoroughly vet all member requests. I...

So my creative idea is to produce a live stream sharing a T.D. Jakes video and create a discussion on how we can apply these spiritual principals to our stroke survivor lives today. My hope is you will be inspired to live a passion filled life like me.
