The Truth Is The Truth

Hi, thank you for taking the time to read my story.

In September 2010, my life changed in an instant when I suffered a brain aneurysm and a stroke. During this medical crisis, I experienced what many call a near-death experience (NDE). I can tell you from my own journey: I died that day, and it was the most transformative event I have ever known.

I am here to assure you that our life on earth is not the end. My experience gave me the peace of knowing that our true life begins when we transition. Because of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, the penalty for our sins has been paid. This gift allows us to bypass judgment and enter into a deep, personal relationship with God, our Creator and Father, both today and for eternity.

Whenever I listen to certain worship music, I am moved to tears of true gratitude for what was done for us. If you are searching for hope or direction in your own stroke recovery or health battle, I encourage you to look at the Word:

"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me.'"John 14:6

My mission now is turning pain into purpose. Whether you are a survivor or a caregiver, know that there is life and hope beyond the trauma.

Sincerely,

Aaron Avila
