Hi, I'm Aaron Avila, I have been building an online stroke support community called Stroke TV Media Network since 2019.
Motivated by my own brain aneurysm and stroke in 2010.
My stroke movement has been focused on a global stroke support network. Google #stroketv
It is my hearts desire now, to really put my effort and focus on my local Sonoma County Stroke Survivor Community. I don't walk or drive yet and I am fully dependent on my wife Rebecca for transportation, but I would be super happy to connect with you via video. Let's meet each other. Attention Sonoma County Stroke Survivors
If you're a stroke survivor or caregiver in Sonoma County, know that local support is right here in our community. From Santa Rosa to Petaluma and beyond, there are people and places ready to help you rebuild.
Key local resources include:
- The Stroke Club of Sonoma County meets the 2nd Saturday of every month from 1 to 3 p.m. at First Congregational Church on Humboldt Street in Santa Rosa. It's a welcoming space for survivors. Call 707-431-7352 for details.
- The Resilient Mind Collective, another great support group, meets monthly on Saturdays. Contact Andrea Nofi at 707-576-4500 or email her for the latest meeting info.
- For immediate care, Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital runs a certified stroke center with excellent rehab services.
